Why YOUR Vitamins may be KILLING YOU slowly!

Are you a health conscious individual who religiously take your multi-vitamins daily? Perhaps you are doing exactly just that and even more with other additional vitamins due to suggestions from your family or friends. Maybe you were also told by your medical doctor to take that daily vitamin C supplement. Or maybe you just got bombarded by the media and marketing, all heavily promoting their store brand supplements to you every time you shop at their specific stores.

However, before you swallow that next vitamin supplement or consider buying any more vitamin supplements for that matter, it is extremely important to discuss why YOUR vitamins may be killing you slowly. Yes, vitamins can actually kill you slowly. How, you ask? Simple- the danger in the consumption of dangerous synthetic vitamins (man-made or laboratory-made).

We must understand that a multivitamin is only as good as the sum of its parts. If one is consuming anything that has NOT been made by nature or found in nature, it will eventually cause challenges/complications to one’s own health. Thus lay the danger of synthetic vitamins initiating and/or causing more nutritional deficiencies. Our bodies can only readily absorb and utilize what it can naturally recognize as actual nutrients. A synthetic will cause robbing of other nutrients within the body. Anything that is not real is just no good for us. What a concept!

Then where can we get these actual nutrients? The answer is found only in whole food based multivitamins, with organic as best choice. Unfortunately, many of today’s standard multivitamins and other vitamin supplements are junk- nothing but synthetics with fillers and being created by no other than the Pharmaceutical Drug Industries. For these companies, it is cheaper to make and concentrate vitamin isolates in the lab than actually supplying these essential whole vitamins from actual vegetables, fruits or herbs.

Furthermore, we often forget the basic fact that ALL vitamins ARE and FUNCTION as a complex of parts. One example is ascorbic acid, a vitamin which has been incorrectly taught to us as Vitamin C. Actually, ascorbic acid does not equate to Vitamin C. Ascorbic acid is but just a part of the whole Vitamin C complex. Even so, there are more parts to it as a biological process.

Studies over the last several years have demonstrated that people who take high doses of ascorbic acid actually put themselves at risk for a number of health challenges. One study demonstrated that doses of 500 mg a day or more of ascorbic acid increase the incidence of arterial plaque buildup. Another study indicated that gallstones are more likely to appear in those taking ascorbic acid. These are only some of the significant and legitimate studies showing exactly how important it is to stop and avoid further intake of synthetic vitamins which do eventually kill us slowly!

As Dr. Tim O’Shea wrote, “Vitamins cannot be isolated from their complexes and still perform their specific life functions within the cells.   When isolated into artificial commercial forms, like ascorbic acid, these purified synthetics act as drugs in the body. They are no longer vitamins, and to call them such is inaccurate.”

According to the Father of nutrition and Pioneer of whole food vitamins, Dr. Royal Lee, we must remember that a vitamin is: “… a working process consisting of the nutrient, enzymes, coenzymes, antioxidants, and trace minerals activators.”

– Royal Lee “What Is a Vitamin?” Applied Trophology, Aug. 1956

It is highly encouraged that any multivitamin and other vitamin supplements to take as a daily be organic whole food based. Research now suggest that single vitamins, taken out of the food complex, may not be as effective in promoting health as eating the whole food. Each whole food ingredient provides its own unique phytonutrients (phytochemicals with functions/actions that we still do not all completely know of in nature), plus synergistic cofactors required for maximum absorption and efficacy.

SO, choose a multivitamin that is from organic sources of vegetables and fruits. Avoid the cheap synthetic isolates that usually, if not always, come in big plastic containers. Cheap vitamins on the sale racks are a killer and definitely to be avoided at all costs. If you have those in your cupboard, do yourself a favor and just throw them out along with the rest of the garbage. Remember, remember, remember to choose whole food base multivitamins that can actually feed your body important nutrients so that your body can work more efficiently for you.
